Honest answers to common questions
Is it a real person calling?
No. The caller is a computer assistant, and it never pretends otherwise — if your parent asks, it says so plainly. What we aim to provide is a companion with patience, time to listen, and honesty.
What if my parent doesn’t pick up?
We retry, and that day’s family page says plainly that the call didn’t go through. The current version does not automatically send reminder emails or contact notifications — please don’t treat CareRing as an emergency monitoring service.
Can my parent change their mind later?
Anytime — just by saying so on a call. Consent here isn’t a sign-up checkbox: every call, every recording, and every piece of shared information maps to a permission your parent can revoke at any moment.
Is this a medical or emergency service?
No. CareRing is a companionship service. The current version does not automatically notify emergency contacts, and it is no substitute for 911 or medical care. In an emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.
Who can see what?
You see a short daily note — never recordings or transcripts. What the note may include is decided by your parent, category by category.
How does the trial work?
Stripe Checkout collects a payment method and creates a real subscription. The first 14 days are a trial; unless you cancel before it ends, the plan renews at $49 per parent each month.

You can sign up and start checkout and setup today; calls begin only after parent consent and the existing operational checks. CareRing remains an early beta, not medical monitoring or emergency response.
